protein

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/11/111105153321.htm

summary- A chemical known as an acetyl group. a guise of 85% of human proteins have this chemical added to the amino acid at on end of that protein. that comes the be known as the N-terminal acetylation. N-terminal acetylated happens shortly after the proteins are assembled. But it has long been known to that the proteins are N- terminal acetylation, until now it is unknown but such acetylation could be serve specific functions.

critique- it was a confusing artical with all the big words.

impact- it didnt really have an impact on me cuz it was kinda confusing. and had really big words that i didnt understand.

depression

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/11/111117202935.htm

summary-people that suffer from depression have a tendency to unhelpful abstract thinking and over-general negative thoughts, like viewing a single mistake as evidence that arnt needed for much which makes them pretty much useless at everything. but repeated practice can help the people with that stuff shift their thinking style.

critique- i think it was a good artical but kinda dry.

impact- that would really suck to have that and not be abel to do work but not like work that you get paid with.

difference in climate

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/11/111115175352.htm
summary- using a tree biofule creates a carbon dioxide debt that must be paid back but before the fuel can be considered a carbon dioxide neutral. Energy forest that is neutralised to 3-5 years, while the other trees grow slowly that it can take up to 100 years before they achieve carbon dioxide neutrality. that's pretty cool that you can get flue from a tree.

critique- it was a good artical but i wouldn't read it again cuz it wasn't that like insisting to me but it was still a good artical

impact- there wasnt really and impact on me cuz it didnt really mean any thing to me but trees.

black holes

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/09/110929155306.htm

summary- Not all matter around a black hole i sucked up. a circle shape of infalling gas forms around the black hole. on the way towards the gas and dust collect large amounts of X- rays and UV radiation. this radiation can be so strong that it transforms into gas inflow. it causes window flowing outward with velocities up to several 100s of kms.

critique - it was a good artical it had some good info about big black holes.

impact- there wasn't really an impact cuz i kinda already knew this from last year but it was good to hear it again.

Earthquake!!!!!!!!

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/09/110928142441.htm

summary- Fault scarps the vertically offset young alluvial fan deposits along the Antelope valley fault suggest that the biggest earthquake was 14 miles and 23 km long. Radiocarbon dating of bulk soil samples tell us that the last earthquake was about 1350 years ago and a really bad on was about 5000 years earlier. Earthquakes are crazy and really suck but taking buildings down and breaking up the assfalt that we have to put a bunch of money to repair it so we can drive.

critique- it was a pretty good artical but i wouldn't read it again cuz there was not that much good information.

impact- earthquakes are really bad but only some of them are damaging. from experiences of a small earthquake im surprised what a small one can do.

heart attack!!!!!

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/11/111117154639.htm
summary- After you have a heart attack, your body produces a range of chemicals that trigger a biological processes involves in healing and to repair your body's damage. but many of these chemicals can produce to many and to much good is bad, and end up causing more damage in the feature and may just kill you. but if your young and healthy then you have more chance of not having a heart attack but if your kinda old and are not healthy you are more likely to get a heart attack. Or you are just not lucky and die from a heart attack when you are really old.

critique- it was a good artical but they need to have more facts about a heart attack and not so much about what the students did and other stuff.

impact- that would really suck to get a heart attack and die from one cuz your like dieing a slow and pain full death.

breastfeeding can reduce the risk of allergies??

summary- the early cause of childhood allergy is the main topic no these days. there is no doubt that all the exposure to the allergy's in the food and from pollen and with the seasons changing. there are some hypothetical that the pacific lifestyle and natural patterns may lead to early symptoms of allergy's. one example is breast feeding for the first 4-6 months has bin shown to reduce the risk for atopic ezema and cows milk.

critique- i think that's pretty cool that breast feeding can help proven allergy's. but then there's the plus and minus of that cuz allergy's are good for fighting other bad stuff and some bad colds .

impact- i had no clue that breast feeding could do stuff like that. and it can do alot of other stuff for your baby's and make them a lil heather for the future .
